Moodini, some would call him a deejay, others simply a music lover.
It all started in the mid nineties which were determined by black soul music, electro boogie and loads of nocturnal weekend jams. Then suddenly there was this 12″ from Chaka Khan ‘I feel for you’ that shadowed him throughout the following years. Of course he didn’t stick to just this one vinyl and the collection grew from time to time starting with Sonarkollektiv stuff from Jazzanova, over Vikter Duplaix and Clara Hill. There were also rare Disco grooves, NuJazz, Funk and his first House disc, Roy Davis jr. ’Gabrielle’ featuring Peven Everett, which founded the basis of today’s collection. This is a journey from those beginnings up to todays Detroit Deephouse and Tech.
Finally, after some years of hard saving, he was able to acquire professional equipment to enhance the deejay skills and mixing itself. It was time to show people that there are grooves beyond radio music and the all-day disco joints. He has some gems to show to you other music lovers out there. It’s not his goal to earn money with his mixing, it’s the pure joy of playing beautiful joints of music and to see the smile on your face when you recognize that this is soul incarnated in its various forms. Peace to all those Disco, Hip Hop and RnB, Funk to Eighties and ultimately House artists, DJs and producers out there. Keep up the love for music!
